Our Story

Growing Through Faith, Service & Education

In 1983 the Holy Cross Sisters, responding to the request of Bishop Hippolytus Kunnunkal of Jammu–Srinagar, pitched their tent in Dhanger village to begin a mission of service.

Through a dispensary and health programmes reaching some 10–15 surrounding villages, the Sisters won the trust of local families and came to understand their hopes. Above all, the villagers wanted a good education for their children.

That hope became Nirmala High School. It opened on 13 August 1987 with just seven students. Sustained by faith, perseverance and the support of the community, it has grown into a flourishing school where children of every background learn and grow together.

Nirmala High School is owned and established by the Catholic Diocese of Jammu–Srinagar as a Christian minority educational institution, open to all without distinction of caste or creed. Its educational policy is based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.

Fees are paid online, every quarter

School fees are collected online through the external Entab parent portal or the CampusCare mobile app. Sign in with your child's Admission No. as the user ID, then open Online payment. You can pay by card, UPI or net banking, and a receipt and SMS confirm each payment.
